Tantra-Yoga
is
a way to overcome ones ignorance through expansion of the mind. Ananda
Marga encourages and teaches a balanced approach to develop gradually
ones physical, mental and spiritual existence. The goal of Yoga is to
deeply know one's True Self, the Atman or Soul.
YOGA
MEANS INNER ONENESS:
it is when your words, your voice, actions, feelings, thoughts
and soul match
it is when you feel totally at peace with yourself
beyond
self-doubt and fear
radiating strength,
joy
and love from within.
Our yoga
system is mainly based on Astaunga Yoga, the Eight-fold Path of Yoga:
1. Yama
- 5 moral principles; help to control the mind in dealing with the
external world.
2. Niyama - 5 moral principles; help in dealing with internal expressions
of the mind.
3. Asanas - Yoga Postures; develop the body and the mind.
4. Pranayama - Breath Control; helps to control the mind and to strengthen
concentration.
5. Pratyahara - Sense Withdrawal; turning ones mind inward away from
the physical world.
6. Dharana - Concentration;total focus of ones mind on one point or
idea.
7. Dhyana - Meditation; mind "flows like oil" towards one
point.
8. Samadhi - Trance; merging with ones true Self.
Ananda
Marga teaches "Self Realization and Service to Humanity."
The individual spiritual practices will help oneself develop in the
physical, mental, and spiritual sphere. To render service helps us
to purify our mind and to transform the world into a better one.
